Five Star
Gazing
Igloo Village, Finnish
Lapland, Scandinavia
Lapland is the magnificent country of fells,
reindeer and Northern Lights. From December
to April, close to Hotel Kakslauttanen is the
famous Igloo Village. The Igloo Village boasts
20 amazing Snow Igloos as lodgings, an Ice
Gallery, a bar made of ice and the world's
largest snow restaurant. The star attractions
in the village are the five Glass Igloos, which
provide a unique opportunity to sleep under
the Lapp sky admiring the Northern Lights in
a warmer environment. They tell us that the
experience is also unforgettable when there
is a snowstorm! For those brave enough, you
can take a morning dip in a nearby ice hole,
but we think we'll stick to the sauna.
